Job summary

University of Missouri-St. Louis invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track clinical educator in the College of Optometry. The appointment will be 12 months, with rank commensurate with experience and interests.

The position includes teaching, clinical service, and mentoring student research in a dynamic academic setting. Successful candidates will contribute to education development and integrate evidence-based practice into patient care.

Qualifications

• OD degree required and MO license eligibility to practice optometry
• Experience with innovative instructional strategies and technology
• Expertise in optometry and healthcare issues
• Experience disseminating evidence-based practice and translating research to education and clinical care
• Experience teaching and providing clinical services to diverse student populations

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, evaluation, and enhancement of optometric education
• Provide instruction and clinical service in the professional program
• Maintain a clinical practice for UMSL Eye Care and affiliated clinics
• Mentor student research and engage in scholarly activities
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance college mission and priorities
