The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Sports Medicine and Rehab Patients

The role you’ll contribute:

When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients from Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler, and Lake Counties with a dedicated team of therapists, clinicians, and staff committed to AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.

Assist in managing the clinical rehabilitation team (therapists, assistants, athletic trainers, technical aides, volunteers, and interns) with positive influence and by example while providing physical therapy in the outpatient rehabilitation setting. Interviews and selects clinical staff, provides coaching, and performs developmental evaluations. Engages in rounding with physicians and patients.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Interview, hire, and orient clinical staff, complete clinical competencies for new hires and annually for all staff. Approve continuing education requests and coordinate in-services. Serve as a mentor or assign mentors to new graduates. Promote evidence-based care, research, journal clubs, teaching, and mentoring within the team.
• Assist in daily operations, including clinical and service rounding, developing and delivering clinical content at staff meetings, and completing management reports. Respond to and resolve complaints independently. Act as a clinical resource for physicians, patients, and staff. Escalate issues as needed.
• Design and implement treatment plans based on standards, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs. Monitor patient responses and modify plans accordingly.
• Participate in practice improvements, support quality standards, and follow clinical guidelines of the APTA. Conduct chart audits and reviews for accuracy and timeliness. Educate and coach the clinical team on documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Engage in marketing efforts to build referral relationships, participate in community events, and extend clinical expertise to the community as approved.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Two or more years of work experience as a licensed and treating physical therapist
• Current valid State of Florida license as a Physical Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
