Baystate Health is seeking a Clinical Operations Supervisor for Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role oversees nursing and non-nursing staff, making critical decisions within the Nursing Practice Act and coordinating with the Administrator-On-Call as needed to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
The supervisor will champion national patient safety goals, monitor PCS initiatives, and drive safe care transitions with a focus on zero patient harm across the hospital setting.

The Clinical Operations Supervisor is a valuable resource for nursing and non-nursing staff across the hospital. They possess the authority to make critical decisions in nursing practice in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act of Massachusetts, following established policies at the unit, department, and hospital levels. In emergency situations, they have the power to make broader decisions and collaborate with the Administrator-On-Call (AOC), even accessing additional resources as needed. This role is dedicated to ensuring high-quality and safe patient care, with a focus on achieving zero patient harm. They actively monitor and promote best practices aligned with national patient safety goals and the Patient Care Services (PCS) initiatives at BMC, emphasizing safe care transitions, nursing-sensitive indicators, and positive patient and family experiences.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum $52.01 - $59.78 - $70.72.
Per Diem Days 8a-8:30p and Nights 8p-8:30a (looking for mostly day shift pick up but flexible for nights)
Work a minimum of 36 hours total in a 6-week schedule period; Must include (1) 12- hour weekend shift and (1) 12-hour major holiday per year
