Indiana University Health is seeking a Pharmacist for a full-time role rotating between Clinical and Operational functions, with day shift hours and a commitment to one weekend per month.

The position focuses on delivering comprehensive medication-related care, collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the medication-use process.

Qualifications

• Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
• ASHP accredited PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required.
• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Requires current Indiana Pharmacist license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
• Board certification or other specialized training may be required.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
• May require travel to IU Health facilities.
• May require weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, value-based medication-related care to improve patient quality of life.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals for medication therapy outcomes.
• Ensures safety and effectiveness of the medication use process and processes/dispenses medications as ordered.
• Performs medication therapy monitoring and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees pharmacist extenders and maintains medication security.
• Protects patient confidentiality and provides medication information to medical and nursing staff.
