Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to lead nursing and service teams, fostering staff development, engagement, and high-quality patient care. You will collaborate with the general management team and medical staff to meet system goals, drive performance, and uphold UF Health standards.

Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance (TJC, HIPAA, Nurse Practice Act), and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree required
• Current Florida RN license
• ACLS and BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• NIH certification required
• 3–5 years leadership experience
• Specialty certifications within 1 year, as appropriate
• Must read/write/speak English; maintain ongoing education

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and retain staff through hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management
• Manage staffing and operations to meet patient and staff needs while maintaining productivity, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility
• Ensure regulatory and organizational compliance with policies, TJC, HIPAA, Nurse Practice Act, and applicable standards
• Foster a positive, engaged team culture through communication, rounding, recognition, coaching, accountability, and policy enforcement
• Manage departmental budgets and productivity, including financial reporting, analysis, and improvement plans
• Promote excellent patient experiences by monitoring service outcomes, rounding, addressing concerns, and service recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and interdisciplinary leaders to support coordinated care and organizational goals
• Drive quality, patient safety, throughput, and operational efficiency through evidence-based practices and care coordination
• Investigate patient concerns and risk events, implement corrective actions, and proactively minimize organizational risk
• Provide leadership coverage and organizational support during leadership vacancies or absence of the CCO
• Maintain professional expertise and leadership competency through continuing education and professional involvement
