Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care under supervision of a physician, extender, or RN, and to assist with front and back office tasks in a clinical setting.

Ideal candidates will have either a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program completion or two years of related clinical experience, and must obtain CMA/BCLS certifications upon hire.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a GED or high school diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program.
• Alternatively, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience may substitute formal education.
• Licenses/certifications required upon hire include CMA-AAMA or equivalent and Basic Life Support (BCLS).

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. Required or
• In lieu of degree /certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Upon Hire Required and
