Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation seeks a Medical Assistant / Nursing Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision and handle front and back office duties in a fast-paced setting.

Education includes a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, GED/HS diploma, or two years of related experience; CMA-AAMA and BCLS certifications are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of MA/NA clinical experience required.
• CMA-AAMA certification or similar certifying organization required upon hire.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a physician, physician extender, or RN.
• Perform front office and back office functions per guidelines and standards.

Completion of a Nursing Assistant program

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Duty assignments vary and include, but are not limited to front office and back office functions.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is Required

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. Required or
• In lieu of degree /certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
