Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant to support patient care under supervision, performing front and back office duties. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an MA or NA program, with CMA-AAMA or equivalent certification preferred.

Candidates should have 1 year of medical office experience or 2 years of related clinical experience if lacking formal credentials, and must possess BCLS at hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• One year of experience in a medical office setting with MA/NA program completion is preferred.
• In lieu of degree/certification, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification upon hire preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of a physician, extender, or nurse.
• Handle front office and back office tasks in accordance with guidelines.
