Piedmont Medical Care Corporation in McDonough, GA, is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Candidates should have a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program and possess CMA-AAMA certification and BCLS.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
In lieu of formal education, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program is required.
In lieu of degree/certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

Provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
Duty assignments vary and include front office and back office functions.
