Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is hiring a Registered Dietitian to oversee patient and clinical operations related to nutrition and food service.

You will direct day-to-day activities, collaborate with teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Advanced nutrition credentials and 3–5 years of RD experience are preferred. This is a full-time role at our Southern California campus.

Qualifications

• CDR-registered dietitian with applicable state license.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Experience in nutrition or food service management desirable.
• Advanced specialty certificate in nutrition preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and direct day-to-day patient and clinical operations.
• Assist in planning, coordinating and directing daily food service operations to comply with regulations.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients.
• Participate in hiring, orientation and staff education.
• Establish and maintain policies, standards and performance improvement for patient care.
• Monitor clinical performance for safety, efficacy and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State specific dietitian license as required by State of practice.
• Minimum 3-5 years as a Registered Dietitian.
• Two years' experience in the field of nutrition and/or food service management desirable.
• Advanced specialty certificate in field of nutrition preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $71,760.00 to $107,972.80 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
