Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital & Medical Group in Southern California is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead clinical nutrition services. You will plan, coordinate and direct day-to-day patient and clinical operations, ensuring services meet regulatory standards and deliver high-quality care.

The role involves collaborating with medical staff, participating in hiring and staff education, and guiding policy development to improve nutrition practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (CDR) certification required.
• Active state Dietitian license as required by state law.
• Minimum 3-5 years as a Registered Dietitian.
• Experience in nutrition and/or food service management desirable.
• Advanced specialty certification in nutrition preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and directs day-to-day patient and clinical operations.
• Assists in planning, coordinating and directing daily food service operations for regulatory compliance.
• Serves as a clinical resource and participates in hiring, orienting and education of staff.
• Establishes and maintains policies, standards and performance improvement programs.

Participates in hiring, orienting, and education of staff. Establishes and maintains policies, standards and performance improvement programs for the provision of optimal patient care. Monitors clinical performance for safety, efficacy and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State specific dietitian license as required by State of practice.
• Minimum 3-5 years as a Registered Dietitian.
• Two years’ experience in the field of nutrition and/or food service management desirable.
• Advanced specialty certificate in field of nutrition preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $71,760.00 to $107,972.80 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
