Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor supports administrative functions within the department and collaborates with the unit Director and/or Manager. In their absence, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative responsibilities of the unit. They develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with federal and/or state regulations. The Clinical Supervisor oversees department orientation and training, communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and administration, and is responsible for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. They assist the Department Director in daily operations, supervise personnel, ensure proper use of resources, and perform direct patient care as needed within their scope of practice, continually assessing and adjusting care plans.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid California Registered Nurse license.
2. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintained.
4. Minimum of three years of Charge Nurse or equivalent experience preferred.
5. Additional certifications may be required based on department needs:

a. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
b. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
c. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
d. Current Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification

St. Francis Medical Center offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, a 401K plan, medical, dental, vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and other voluntary benefits. The estimated total compensation range for this role is $49.43 to $63.70 per hour, with the final offer based on experience, education, credentials, and other factors.
