The Clinical Supervisor supports departmental administrative functions and collaborates with the unit Director and/or Manager. In their absence, they may assume the administrative responsibilities of the unit. They develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement and compliance with federal and state regulations. They oversee staff orientation and training, communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and administration, and are responsible for staff performance and departmental functions during their shift. They assist the Department Director with daily operations, supervise personnel, and ensure efficient department functioning. They perform direct patient care as needed within their scope of practice, continually assessing care and guiding staff to make immediate adjustments as necessary.
Education, Experience, and Training
1. Current and valid California Registered Nurse license.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, maintained current.
4. Minimum of three years of Charge Nurse or equivalent experience preferred.
5. Additional certifications depending on area, which may include:
Compensation ranges from $49.43 to $63.70 per hour, including wages, benefits, and other compensation. Exact offer depends on experience, education, credentials, and other factors.
