Job summary

DHA - Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the Emergency Department during the evenings to lead nurses, coordinate care, and ensure a safe, efficient patient environment.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, NH RN licensure, and prior charge nurse or supervisory experience; BLS required with ACLS preferred. The role includes staff development and collaboration with the clinical educator and informatics nurse.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current NH Registered Nurse Licensure.
• Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience is an asset.
• Nursing certification is an asset; encouraged after employment.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Primary responsibilities

• Provides assistance, direction, consultation, and problem-solving regarding patient care issues and business continuity.
• Communicates problems that may compromise patient care to the appropriate departmental leadership.
• Ensure a safe, effective and efficient patient care environment.
• Support staff development through partnership with our clinical educator and informatics nurse through participation in education, informatics, quality and patient safety, professional development.

Ideal qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
• Current NH Registered Nurse Licensure
• Previous relevant experience in a charge nurse or supervisory role an asset;
• Relevant nursing certification an asset; highly encouraged after employment
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS preferred
