Job summary

Grand Canyon University Inc. seeks a Clinical Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator to support day-to-day operations of the clinical nursing skills laboratory in Jacksonville.

Responsibilities include preparing the lab environment for instruction and coordinating set-up/take-down under the DNS and faculty guidance. The role requires an associate or technical degree in a medical/technical field, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and at least one year of medical/technical experience.

• Associate or Technical degree in a medical/technical profession required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated professional/technical experience in medical lab setting preferred.
• Must have at least one year experience in medical/technical field.
• Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage Clinical Nursing Activities within Clinical Nursing Skills Lab.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities in the nursing clinical skills lab including set-up and take-down of lab activities under the direction of the nursing DNS, Director of Clinical Nursing Skills Lab, or nursing lab faculty.
• Work with Lab Director/DNS to maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for the skills lab.
• Provide technical support for all systems and equipment used in the nursing lab.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs of equipment; arrange repair/replacement of broken equipment and routine maintenance with vendors.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new lab materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain Clinical Nursing Skills Lab to be clean, safe, and organized and promote a safe lab environment.
• Maintain monthly equipment and supply inventories.
• Oversee collection and disposal of waste materials per regulations.
• Support the University’s doctrinal statement and mission.

The Clinical Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of clinical nursing skills laboratory activities, including preparation of the skills lab environment for student instruction under the direction of the DNS, Director of Clinical Nursing Skills Lab, or nursing lab faculty. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, ordering of equipment and supplies, maintenance and inventory of supplies and equipment, promotion of safe lab environment, and technology support. The Clinical Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator should be a medical technical professional. The Clinical Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator will preferably have at least one year of experience in a medical/technical area such as LPN, CNA, EMT, or Paramedic.

Location: 8800 Baymeadows Way, Jacksonville FL

Target Hire: December 1, 2026

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7:30am-4:30pm

What you will do:

What you need:

• Associate or Technical degree in a medical/technical profession required
