Job summary

Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO seeks a Clinical Nursing Instructor to teach clinicals, immersions and simulation experiences within the BSN/ABSN programs. The role reports to the BSN and ABSN Program Directors and collaborates with the Clinical Lead.

You will prepare courses, outlines and syllabi, develop content and lesson plans, and select textbooks and teaching aids. Instruction uses lectures, demonstrations, class discussions, clinicals, labs and simulations in face-to-face, online

Qualifications

MSN degree is required.
2–5 years of nursing experience.
Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills.
Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
Experience with clinical education and simulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare course outlines, syllabi, and teaching materials in collaboration with course leads.
Develop content, lesson plans, and select textbooks and teaching aids.
Deliver instruction across lectures, demonstrations, lectures, clinicals, labs, and simulations in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
Collaborate with clinical partners and participate in co-curricular activities.
Provide informal advising and mentorship to students.
