Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center seeks part‑time nursing educators to join our faculty for undergraduate programs. Adjunct Clinical Instructors teach and evaluate students in the clinical environment at the Kansas City campus, reporting to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Department Chair.

This temporary, fixed‑term position requires a Master’s in Nursing and an active RN license, with at least one year of patient care experience. Teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school.
• RN license in Kansas or a multi-state license via compact.
• One year of relevant patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, well‑constructed feedback for clinical care and assignments.
• Guide students in clinical settings across hospitals and clinics.
• Collaborate with faculty to align with program objectives.
• Foster critical thinking, communication, and problem solving.
• Prepare for and participate in clinical, lab, and simulation activities.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with policies.
• Utilize LMS, email, and standard office software for instruction.
• Assess student progress using established methods.
• Attend orientation, clinical, and lab sessions as required.
