The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a BSN is preferred, and certification in BLS and ACLS is required at hire. CCRN and NRP qualifications are preferred for critical care settings.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintenance.
• ACLS certificate upon hire and maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• CCRN certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
• NRP required 90 days after hire and maintained.
• Professional certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.

Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN)

Acute Care Hospital, Chicago, IL

Department: Intermediate Care / Stepdown

Schedule: Full Time – Nights (7p-7a, 3–12 hour shifts)

Compensation: $36.75 – $55.70 per hour (approximately $441–$668 gross per 12‑hour shift), commensurate with experience.

Bonus: $10,000 sign‑on bonus available for qualified candidates. Eligibility and payout terms apply. Discussion during interview.
