Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.

• 2+ years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions.
• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicates with staff, physicians and administration in writing and verbally.
• Ensures quality of staff and functions during shift.
• Directs, supervises and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient department operations.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Continually assess care and direct staff to make changes in the plan of care.
