Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a state license; multi-state license preferred.
• 1-2 years related experience.
• Completion of basic nursing curricula as approved by a state board of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Manages human resources to maintain compliance with approved standard/guidelines for nursing care and within established budget parameters.
• Evaluates and adjusts staffing requirements.
• Coaches and counsels nursing personnel according to established policies.
• Monitors adherence to time and attendance policy.
• Provides clinical expertise in patient placement.
• Facilitates patient movement through assessment of patient needs and coordination of transfers.
• Communicates appropriately to define/resolve immediate problems and promote continuity of patient care.
• Communicates with staff, patients, and families to identify and resolve problems.
• Communicates with Administrative Supervisor and/or ancillary departments.
• Communicates shift/unit activities to management as appropriate.
• Serves as a clinical resource for patient care activities and problem resolution.
