St. Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Unit Educator to support ICU education initiatives and elevate nursing practice.

The role focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based educational programs for the unit, coordinating activities with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to patient care quality. The position requires a BSN and a minimum of three years in critical care nursing, with Missouri RN licensure.

• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in critical care.
• Current Missouri RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation and evaluation of ICU educational programs.
• Coordinate and develop programs using evidence-based practice standards.

• Maintain ongoing professional nursing competence relevant to the assigned area.

Position Summary

Performs the primary function of a Unit Educator in assisting in the design, implementation and evaluation of educational programs for the Intensive Care Unit. Coordinates and develops programs using evidence-based practice standards. Serves on committees that maintain and improve the quality of nursing standards and practice. Maintains on-going professional nursing competence pertinent to the assigned clinical area and responsibilities. Performs in the clinical role in assessing, planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating a designated group of patients in accordance with all established Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies. Is responsible for managing all assigned personal supplies, equipment on the unit, and for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in critical care.

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri
