Job summary

BlueCare is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to provide clinical leadership and expert nursing care across our Brisbane South care facilities. This permanent role focuses on resident wellbeing, care planning and high-quality clinical governance.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, support staff development, complete accurate assessments and ensure compliance with ACFI funding and accreditation standards. Availability across South Brisbane regional facilities is required.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Extensive general nursing experience with strong clinical skills
  • Experience with ACFI funding and resident care planning
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical leadership and advice in managing complex resident care needs
  • Develop, implement, monitor and review resident care plans for health and quality of life
  • Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical assessments and documentation
  • Support staff orientation, mentoring, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
  • Promote consultative and collaborative resident care planning and quality activities
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, legislation and governance requirements
  • Support accurate and timely ACFI assessments for funding outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families and external stakeholders
  • Participate in quality improvement, risk management and workplace safety activities

Clinical Nurse – BlueCare – South Brisbane Region

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse to provide clinical leadership and expert nursing care within our BlueCare residential aged care facilities across the South Brisbane region.

Employment Term: Permanent roles available

Location: Facilities available across South Brisbane region

Remuneration: $59.43 – $60.70 per hour + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical leadership and advice in the management of complex resident care needs
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of resident care plans to promote health, wellbeing and quality of life
  • Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical assessments and documentation
  • Support staff orientation, mentoring, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
  • Promote a consultative and collaborative approach to resident care planning and quality activities
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, legislation and clinical governance requirements
  • Support accurate and timely ACFI assessments to ensure optimal funding outcomes
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families and external stakeholders
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement, risk management and workplace health and safety activities
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive general nursing experience with strong clinical skills
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
  • Understanding of person‑centred, resident‑based care delivery
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Intermediate computer skills and accurate clinical documentation capability
  • Ability to meet relevant probity checks and compliance requirements
