Sign-on Bonus: MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 for eligible experienced RNs with 1-2 years of experience, and up to $20,000 for those with more than 2 years of RN experience. Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.

• Eligible candidates are hired into a full or part-time RN position.
• Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees must be separated for more than 6 months.

The NICU/CCN in The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital is a 51-bed level III-IV unit, the largest ICU in Maine, with single rooms and state-of-the-art equipment. The unit works closely with various specialties and has 24/7 coverage by Neonatologists and APPs. It also has an active critical care transport team and a nurse-driven PICC team.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - 31 beds & Continuing Care NICU - 20 beds.

Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission by exhibiting excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care, which may be provided across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; must enroll in a BSN program within one year of hire and complete within five years.
• License: Current Maine RN license.
• Experience: At least 1 year RN experience; pediatrics, PICU, ICU, ER, or NICU (II-IV) preferred.
• Ongoing education: 10 hours per year.
• Skills: Caring practice, effective communication, crisis management, technical nursing skills.
