Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics in Salem, OR is seeking an Operating Room Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality surgical care across ages. Join one of the busiest Level II trauma centers with 18 ORs, supporting elective and emergent cases.

You'll work a 40-hour week, with staggered shifts, CNOR/CRNFA opportunities, and a culture focused on collaboration, growth, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of operating room nursing experience.
• BSN or MSN; ADN with plan to complete BSN/MSN within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intraoperative nursing care for elective and emergent procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe workflows.
• Perform accurate, ongoing patient assessments before, during, and after procedures.
• Support trauma-level surgical cases as part of a 24/7 coverage team.
• Utilize state-of-the-art surgical equipment and technology.
• Communicate clearly in high-stress environments.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Participate in educational opportunities and certification programs (e.g., CNOR, CRNFA).

Schedule: Staggered shifts between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, four 10-hour shifts, and variable call coverage

As an Operating Room Nurse at Salem Health, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care to patients across all ages and backgrounds. Working in one of the busiest Level II Trauma Centers in the Pacific Northwest, you’ll support a wide range of surgical specialties across 18 state-of-the-art ORs—excluding only burn and organ transplants. Whether it’s an elective procedure or an emergent trauma case, your ability to assess, anticipate, and act will directly impact patient outcomes. Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BSN) or Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing, or non‑nursing bachelor's degree with a Master of Science in nursing (MSN). Candidates with an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) and graduates of a diploma RN program are also encouraged to apply;ADN applicants with less than five years of acute care experience will be required to sign an agreement committing to complete their BSN or MSN degree within three years of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
• Minimum of one year of operating room nursing experience.
