The Clinical Nurse Manager, Operating Room is a full-time, on‑site role based in Boston, MA. This position is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations in the operating room, including staffing, patient flow, and coordination of surgical services. The Clinical Nurse Manager provides leadership and guidance to nursing staff, supports evidence‑based practice, and promotes adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include supervising and mentoring team members, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary partners, and ensuring timely, effective, and patient‑centered perioperative care. The role also involves performance improvement initiatives, resource management, participation in policy development, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Operating Room and Surgery settings, including familiarity with perioperative workflows and sterile technique.
• Strong background in Nursing and Medicine, with the ability to integrate clinical knowledge into leadership and decision‑making.
• Proven commitment to high-quality Patient Care, including safety, comfort, and clear communication with patients and families.
• Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts and eligibility to practice without restrictions.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• Prior leadership or charge nurse experience in an operating room or perioperative environment strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams in a fast‑paced setting.
• Experience with quality improvement, staff education, and change management in a clinical environment is beneficial.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback for staff.
• -Ensures a positive work environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and staff.
