The Clinical Nurse Manager serves as a resource and educational consultant to all patient care staff on hospital acquired conditions, quality surveillance, and empirical outcomes related to nursing leadership and clinical nursing practice. Submits to appropriate agencies including CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI). Remains abreast of accreditation and governmental requirements related to hospital acquired conditions, nursing empirical outcomes, and facilitates performance improvement initiatives with clinical staff, as needed.
