Job summary
VCU Health System Authority is seeking an experienced Nurse Clinician to assess, diagnose and treat complex patients. This role provides leadership, education and accountability for program development and evaluation within the team, focusing on quality and cost-efficient care.
The position requires Virginia RN licensure, 5 years nursing experience, and enrollment in a Master's program with completion within 36 months. A Master's in Nursing or related field is preferred.
Qualifications
- Must have Virginia RN licensure or eligible or compact state.
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the position's specialty patient population or practice setting.
- Enrollment in a Master's degree program with completion within 36 months of hire (special consideration for candidates transitioning from Baccalaureate to Doctoral).
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred; if master's not in Nursing, a BSN is required.
Responsibilities
- Provides direction, education, leadership and accountability for program development, implementation and evaluation.
- Manages resources to promote desired outcomes with emphasis on quality, efficiency and cost.
- Supports prevention of illness, maintenance of wellness, and patient comfort as part of the health care team.
