Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician to provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment for complex patients. You will guide the health care team, develop and evaluate clinical programs, and ensure quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness across services.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia, or eligible/state licensure.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• 5 years nursing experience, minimum 1 year in the specialty/setting.
• Enrollment in a Master’s degree program within 36 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, education and leadership for program development and evaluation.
• Manage human, fiscal and other resources to ensure quality programs with measurable outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor staff; support orientation, preceptorship and in-services education.
• Collaborate with health care team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
