Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of start.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN degree from an accredited institution; BSN within four years of hire/promotion unless an education agreement applies.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift and supervise staff; manage unit resources to meet patient care needs and department finance.
• Schedule caregivers and approve/deny time off based on department and patient needs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using nursing process and interprofessional coordination.
• Promote staff competency and conduct performance reviews; recognize staff and address corrective actions.
• Ensure staffing and skill mix match census/acuity; support staff in delivering safe, high-quality care.
• Support professional governance and mentorship within the clinical team.
