Qualifications

• Current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified). Hires/promotions must obtain BSN within four years; education agreements may take precedence.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and clinical expertise during shift and within department to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Leads staffing decisions, scheduled staffing, and ensures competency through performance reviews and coaching.
• Directs unit operations including staffing, supplies, and time-off approvals to align with patient census and care needs.
• Oversees staff development from novice to expert in practice areas and patient experience.
• Ensures compliance with laws, licensure scope, documentation, and regulatory standards.
