Job summary

South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA is seeking a part-time RN to manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care following primary nursing principles. The role includes admission assessments, planning, medication administration, and discharge planning in a fast-paced hospital unit.

The ideal candidate will have acute care experience, current Nursing license, BLS/ACLS, and PALS/ENPC or equivalent pediatric life support credentials, with strong team leadership and patient education skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Experience as an acute care nurse is required.
• PALS or ENPC certification or coursework is preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients and families using the nursing process.
• Develop and communicate a plan of care with patients and families.
• Administer medications per policy and observe for effects.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation per SSH&EC standards.
• Reassess patient status every shift and adjust care plan as needed.
• Provide patient and family teaching for discharge and follow-up.
• Ensure safe IV access, medications, and blood products handling.
• Supervise and collaborate with bedside staff as a role model.
