Job summary

UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill is seeking an experienced RN to join our Inpatient Float Pool as Assistant Nurse Manager (Clinical Nurse IV). The CN IV provides clinical leadership, supports the RN and staff, and coordinates care across multiple units including Women's Health, Pediatrics, ICU, Stepdown, Acute Care, ED and Psychiatry.

The role requires an extended CV/resume and a Letter of Recommendation. This full-time position offers an evening shift, 36 hours per week, and UNC Health benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required; Magnet-related certifications desirable.
• 18 months of professional nursing experience in a tertiary setting.
• Charge and precepting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes teamwork, open communication and exceptional service on the assigned shift.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team to meet patient outcomes.
• Provides clinical leadership and supports staff and RN activities.
• Manages staffing, budget and resources within his/her shift.
• Leads performance improvement initiatives and staff education.
