BayCare is seeking Clinical Nurses to join the NICU internship program at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. New graduates or nurses with limited NICU experience enter a 24–26 week precepted clinical experience, with NRP and STABLE training included. A two-year commitment to the unit is required.

Upon completion, interns transition to night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) in a dynamic, in-person hospital setting, with comprehensive benefits and professional development offered by BayCare.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Florida.
BLS certification required.
Associates degree in nursing required.
Two-year commitment to the unit.

Responsibilities

Participate in NICU internship with guided clinical experience.

NICU Internship Overview:

This position is for new RNs or experienced RNs with little or no NICU experience dedicated to the care of neonates with complications of prematurity, congenital anomalies, or other disease processes.

Preceptorship includes 24 - 26 week of clinical experience; length determined by the individual needs of the intern.
Clinical experiences provided during the didactic portion of the internship.
NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications included in the program.
There is a two-year required commitment for the internship program specifically to the unit of hire.
Once the internship is complete, you will be working NIGHTS (6:45 PM-7:15 AM).
