Job summary

JEVS Human Services is seeking an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the Practical Nursing Program to oversee PN students during clinical rotations and to lead practical skills labs on campus. The role includes engaging students, supervising patient assessments and medications, and providing instruction across long term, sub-acute, and acute sites.

Qualified candidates will hold a BSN with current PA RN licensure and have at least two years of nursing practice, with prior PN teaching experience

Adjunct Clinical Instructor for Practical Nursing Program

The role includes overseeing Practical Nursing (PN) students during clinical rotations and/or leading practical skills lab assignments on campus.

Summary Of Major Duties / Responsibilities

• Engage students with active learning in the lab or clinical setting.
• Assist and supervise students with patient assessment, administration of medications and patient care procedures.
• Provide clinical instruction at long term care, sub‑acute and acute clinical sites.
• Create a clinical environment which encourages the student’s academic growth and professional development.
• Engage in the evaluation processes of the Practical Nursing Program to evaluate students.
• Submit final grades and other program related materials in a timely manner.
• Engage on ongoing continuing education related to teaching responsibilities and clinical nursing practice.
• Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing.
• Current registration as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Prior experience teaching in a Practical Nursing Program preferred.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in nursing practice.
