Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse at Duke Brier Creek Infusion in Raleigh, NC. The role involves delivering direct and indirect nursing care within an infusion unit, following physician orders and the nursing process. You will lead a care team, supervise staff, and ensure safety and quality in patient care.

The position requires NC RN licensure (compact accepted with NC within 90 days), BSN/ADN/diploma, and BLS/ACLS. Prior infusion care experience and Epic knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN program (BSN/ADN/diploma).
• Current NC RN licensure; compact license acceptable with NC within 90 days.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document professional nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Act as team lead or charge nurse as assigned; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Participate in professional development and seek learning opportunities.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure equipment and supply readiness.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a CLINICAL NURSE for Duke Brier Creek Infusion located in Raleigh, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• - Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in
• - accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Use professional nursing judgment to
• - individualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patient's baseline needs and response to care.
• - Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• - Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and act as team leader or charge nurse for a group
• - of patients or an entire unit as assigned.
• - Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care including equipment and material

Job Eligibility Requirements:

• - Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. Exception: Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are expected to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the program within seven years of their start date. Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job classification.
• - Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.If candidate has another compact state RN license, NC state licensure must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• - BLS and ACLS is required.
• - Ability to withstand prolonged standing and walking during 10hr shift with the ability to move or lift at least fifty pounds.
• - Previous experience in an infusion care setting preferred
• - Experience with Epic preferred or other computerized charting system preferred

Job Schedule:

The schedule for this position is weekday 4-10 hour day shifts with 1 Saturday per month.
