Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the Duke Brier Creek Infusion unit located in Raleigh, NC. You will provide direct and indirect care to patients, using the nursing process and collaborating with the healthcare team.

The role requires graduation from an accredited RN program and NC RN licensure. BLS and ACLS are required. The position features a 4-10 hour day schedule with one Saturday per month in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited RN program (BSN/ADN/Diploma).
• Must have current NC RN licensure; non-NC licenses require NC licensure within 90 days of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care using the nursing process according to orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Act as preceptor or charge nurse as assigned and supervise a group of patients or unit.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and identify opportunities.
• Maintain equipment and environment of care and contribute to team effectiveness.

Job Summary:

We are seeking aCLINICAL NURSEforDuke Brier Creek Infusion located inRaleigh, NCto be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in
• accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Use professional nursing judgment to
• individualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patient's baseline needs and response to care.
• Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and act as team leader or charge nurse for a group
• of patients or an entire unit as assigned.
• Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care including equipment and material
• resources.
• Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs
• and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings.
• Act as preceptor and support the development of other staff and formal learners.
• Participate in the identification of clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and in
• performance improvement activities.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Job Eligibility Requirements:

• Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. Exception: Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are expected to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the program within seven years of their start date. Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job classification.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.If candidate has another compact state RN license, NC state licensure must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• BLS and ACLS is required.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing and walking during 10hr shift with the ability to move or lift at least fifty pounds.
• Previous experience in an infusion care setting preferred
• Experience with Epic preferred or other computerized charting system preferred

Job Schedule:

The schedule for this position is weekday 4-10 hour day shifts with 1 Saturday per month.
