Job Summary:

We are seeking a CLINICAL NURSE II in our Duke Infusion Cary Clinic located in Cary, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, provide, and document professional nursing care utilizing Maestro Care, including communicating appropriate nursing actions and patient responses.
  • Administer infusion medications as ordered, following protocols and the six rights of medication administration.
  • Assess patients during and after infusion for signs of reactions and treat appropriately.
  • Obtain IV access and perform blood draws as needed.
  • Review patient therapy plans weekly for current orders and authorization.
  • Provide patient education when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of care supplies.
  • Prepare infusion medications under protocol.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and participate in performance improvement projects.
  • Perform additional duties as delegated by management.
  • Ensure the clinical environment meets JCAHO and OSHA standards.
Job Eligibility Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited BSN, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma; those without a BSN must enroll within two years and complete within seven.
  • At least 12 months of clinical experience.
  • Current NC RN license; if licensed in another compact state, NC licensure must be obtained within 90 days.
Job Hours:

Day shifts, Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays.
