Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Missouri is seeking a GI Motility RN for an outpatient role. You will support our Motility program, caring for adults with GI motility disorders and collaborating with providers to coordinate care and develop personalized plans.

This full-time position offers a Monday-Thursday schedule (4 groups of 9 hours), 6:30am-4:00pm, with no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements. Growth opportunities are available within BJC Nursing Career Ladder.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards.
• Coordinate care with interprofessional team and document plans of care.
• Educate patients and families on illness management and home care needs.

Responsibilities

• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

The GI Motility RN will support our specialized Manometry program, caring for adult patients with a variety of gastrointestinal motility disorders. These conditions occur when the muscles responsible for moving food through the digestive system do not function as they should and can affect the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, large bowel, and sphincter.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a small, collaborative team where your contributions can make a meaningful impact. You will work closely with providers and colleagues to coordinate care, support patients throughout their treatment journey, and help develop personalized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
