Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric GI Motility RN to support the Motility program. The RN will provide direct patient care, assessment and care planning within the GI motility service, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Minimum requirements include at least 2 years of RN experience and active RN licensure. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, days. No on-call nights, weekends or holidays.

The Pediatric GI Motility RN will support the Motility program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Motility is the synchronized, wave-like movement of the muscles pushing food through your digestive system. Motility disorders, or dysmotility, is when the muscles do not function as they should, causing a range of health problems. Motility disorders can affect any part of the GI tract, including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, large bowel and sphincter. Motility disorders are commonly associated with a change in the balance of the gut Microbiome such as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). Our team works with patients to develop a personalized treatment plan that targets the source of the problem.

• At least 2 years of nursing experience

• Monday: 0730-1800 (if staying late for long cath placement) or 0645-1715
• Tuesday: 0545-1615 (if coming in early to start long study) or 0645-1715

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

Responsibilities
