Job summary
Northwestern Medicine in Lake Forest, IL seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead onboarding, competency development and ongoing staff education. You will design, implement and evaluate educational offerings to improve clinical care and outcomes, coaching staff to become expert clinicians and leaders within NM Academy.

Qualifications
- Registered Professional Nurse (IL) or eligible.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
- MSN or BSN with MSN in education; candidates with partial MSN considered.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience.
- Ability to develop, implement and evaluate educational plans.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding and competency: develop, coordinate, administer and evaluate onboarding and competency programs.
- Conduct onboarding, training and competency evaluation of staff.
- Develop and evaluate onboarding programs and establish initial competencies.
- Coordinate annual competency evaluations and ongoing staff education.
- Identify educational needs and design evidence-based adult education strategies.
- Facilitate clinical staff education for system educational initiatives.
- Develop, evaluate and maintain education program records and promote staff competence.
- Contribute to quality improvement and policy development through education.
