LeadingAge Virginia is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to provide expert, evidence-based education to nursing staff across clinical and outpatient units. You will leads learning needs assessments, develop and implement trainings, and assist with orientation and residency programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with interprofessional teams, integration of simulation and virtual reality into curricula, and ongoing evaluation of outcomes to improve patient care across the organization.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of a nursing program approved by appropriate accrediting body and accredited by ACEN/CCNE.
• Bridge program holders may become registered as a nurse with a state board prior to completion.
• Upon state licensure appointments may be temporary and converted later.
• Foreign graduates may need degree equivalency validation (e.g., ICD).
• Active license in a US state, territory, or DC is required.
• GNT exception allows temporary appointment while pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, evidence-based education to nursing staff.
• Deliver instruction and training for clinical and outpatient units.
• Perform learning needs assessments and develop trainings.
• Assist with new employee orientation and evaluate progress.
• Serve as trainer/consultant for Redi program including BLS instructor certification.
• Support nurse residency programs with curriculum development (simulation, lectures, case studies, VR).
• Develop coaching and mentoring skills for staff.
• Evaluate current practice and formulate outcomes for groups or processes.
• Collaborate with other CN Educators and interprofessional teams for education activities.
• Review nursing literature for new trends and propose practice/document revisions.
