Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL seeks a full-time Clinical Nurse Educator – Department Based, split 0.5 FTE for educator duties and 0.5 FTE as RN on CVICU unit staffing. The educator focuses on staff development, clinical proficiency, and just-in-time learning while maintaining patient care responsibilities.
The RN role supports unit staffing with varied shifts, including early mornings and evenings. Requires IL license and nursing certification with ongoing professional development.
Hourly Pay Range: $38.16 - $59.15 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position: This full-time position is a dual role of 0.5 FTE in the Clinical Nurse Educator - Department based role supporting ongoing staff development and 0.5 FTE in the RN role supporting unit staffing in the CVICU. (Salary Range for RN role is $36.00-$55.80). Location: Glenbrook Full Time (40 hours/week) Educator Hours: Monday – Friday; Days & Evenings coverage required based on department needs. Day shift can start as early as 5 am. Evening shift starts at 3 pm. 40 hours per pay period structured as two 8-hour shifts one week and three 8-hour shift the alternate week. RN Hours: Sunday-Saturday; hours based on unit needs; rotating holidays
A Clinical Nurse Educator – Department Based is a nurse with prior clinical experience who may or may not have previous educational experience, and whose primary focus is staff development and nursing education. Reporting to the Director of Nursing Professional Development and Practice and working in collaboration with the unit manager. The Clinical Nurse Educator – Department Based elevates professional nursing practice by developing, coaching, and mentoring nursing staff. They also maintain clinical proficiency by providing direct patient care, precepting, and delivering bedside “just-in-time” education to nursing staff.
