LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions during shifts. You will direct nursing care, mentor staff, and collaborate with management to improve patient outcomes.

Duties include admissions/discharges, staff scheduling, training, inventory control, and implementing nursing strategies to boost engagement. Requirements: RN, ACLS and BCLS within required timelines; BSN or ADN.

Qualifications

• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license is required.
• Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in nursing.
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and quality.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of patient care quality with the management team.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve staff engagement and rounds.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor planning per patient care needs.
