Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage the daily surgery schedule, coordinate staffing, and support patient care across ACC, PACU, Radiology and Cath Lab to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient experiences.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), is licensed as an RN, and has BLS. CNOR is a plus. We offer benefits from day one, career development, and a faith-based, mission-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensed (required)
• BLS/CPR certification required
• CNOR preferred
• 1+ year of related surgical/OR experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaborative skills

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily surgery schedule, including room assignments, staffing, and equipment coordination.
• Works with the Anesthesia Department to ensure appropriate staffing for schedule changes.
• Coordinates the care of surgical patients with ACC, PACU, inpatient units, Radiology, and Cath Lab.
• Collaborates with scheduling to organize the surgery schedule for the following business day.
• Serves as the central contact for surgeons, anesthesia, and associates.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and infection prevention precautions.
• Communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Promotes an exceptional patient experience through effective communication with patients, families, and visitors.
• Supports quality standards and mentors nursing skills.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Schedule: 3x12s Call: No Manages the daily surgery schedule, including room assignments, staffing, and equipment coordination.
