Job summary

Overview

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an optimal patient experience.

What you will do in this role
  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS required upon hire; NIH Stroke Certification and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention obtained within 90 days of start date.
  • Activity in professional organizations encouraged.
  • Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of the unit and leadership/management experience is preferred.
  • Continuing demonstration of clinical and leadership competency. Commitment to staffing matrix/productivity standard. Commitment to patient safety initiatives and positive patient experience.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within nursing standards. Strong judgment and problem solving. Positive and professional communication with all stakeholders.

We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center, with an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center.
