Job summary

Mission Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit activities during shifts. You will guide nursing care, serve as a resource for staff, and align with the facility's vision and values to drive outstanding patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

You will participate in admissions/discharges, assess quality of care with the management team, and collaborate to foster teamwork, while supporting staff development, service

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience required.
• BSN within 5 years of hire date; grandfathering accepted between departments.
• RNs with 10+ years of experience are exempt.
• Masters in Nursing preferred.
• eNLC license may apply; verify with NCBON.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services in the unit with management.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes and service.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement (rounding, hourly rounds, etc.).
• Recommends and implements actions related to interviewing, training, evaluations, and disciplinary processes.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management per patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
