Mountainview Hospital, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Labor and Delivery to lead clinical operations, coordinate nursing care, and drive patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with the management team to ensure throughput, staff development, and adherence to evidence-based practices, while championing a patient-first culture and staff engagement across shifts. Your leadership will influence quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license in Nevada and Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NVCI, and C-EFM prerequisites or within grace periods.
• Leadership experience preferred; strong patient-focused care commitment.
• Professional standards aligned with hospital mission and values.

Responsabilités

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high-quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement, including rounds and other initiatives.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.

STABLE certification within 3 months

AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation within 6 months

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)

ANCC Certification within 6 months

C-EFM required, 6-month grace period

Minimum 1 year of applicable experience

1+ year of Leadership experience preferred

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
• Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nevada
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• STABLE certification within three (3) months of hire
• AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation within 6 months of hire
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
• National Certification ANCC required within 6 months of hire
• C-EFM required, 6-month grace period to obtain upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year of applicable experience required
• 1+ year of Leadership experience strongly preferred
