Belmar Freestanding Emergency Room (ER), part of HCA HealthONE Swedish, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead nursing teams and coordinate patient care in the ER setting. You will influence patient outcomes, collaborate with managers, and contribute to nursing initiatives across the facility.

This role emphasizes staff development, throughput optimization, and adherence to clinical policies while delivering an exceptional patient experience and upholding a patient-first philosophy.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license or active multistate license.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; 2 years supervisory/charge nurse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of care quality in the unit with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies (employee rounding, hourly rounds) to improve engagement.
• Guide interviewing, selection, and training of new staff; support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management to align with patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What you will do in this role:

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
• Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at HCA HealthONE Swedish and displays positive support for the overall goals, values and mission of HCA HealthONE Swedish.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
• Current BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA or ARC), PALS Certification (AHA or ARC), and TNCC Certification
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience preferred
• Two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
• Able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice
