Job Summary
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for supervising the daily activities of Cardio‑Vascular services to ensure quality patient care. The role coordinates staff efforts to meet patient and customer needs, provides expert knowledge and leadership, and educates team members within Cardio‑Vascular services. The Coordinator collaborates with the Cardio‑Vascular Team to develop educational programs, implement and maintain improvement processes, oversee QI/PI programs, perform chart audits for documentation, procedure billing, and risk reduction, and anticipate staffing needs based on department demands. The Coordinator also partners with the Director to develop and implement projects that enhance the quality of Cardio‑Vascular services.
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- RN licensure in the State of Texas or a Compact State
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of a Diploma in Nursing
- Critical Care experience
Preferred Education, Licensure, Certification, Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Basic English reading and writing skills sufficient to understand and record physician orders
- Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds with assistance or equipment
- Knowledgeable of age‑appropriate medication dosages and commonly used critical‑care medications
- Knowledgeable of hemodynamic monitoring and intra‑aortic balloon pumping
- Ability to manage a team and collaborate effectively with others to ensure quality patient care
- Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
