A healthcare organization in Wichita is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Cardiac Med Surg unit. The CNC will ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating department functions. Candidates should possess a Kansas RN License, BLS and ACLS certifications, and preferably have 2+ years of clinical experience. Qualificações

• Current Kansas Registered Nurse License or valid compact license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school, bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience preferred.
• Preferable: two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision and values to support a superior patient experience and clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality patient centred care
• Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
• Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
• Support facility engagement initiatives by operationalizing nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds
• Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and implement actions for training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to enhance organization performance
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines
• Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required); Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

• Preferable: two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience
